As a BDR at Zoho, you'll be instrumental in driving the growth of our business. Your primary responsibility will be to secure high-value meetings with key decision-makers, setting the stage for our National Sales Executive to generate revenue. You won’t close deals directly; instead, you'll be the catalyst that opens doors and creates new opportunities.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:


  • Support the National Sales Executive: Secure a targeted number of meetings each month with C-suite executives at mid-market and enterprise companies, both in person and virtually.
  • Target New Logos: Focus on identifying and qualifying new prospects across a large white-space territory to expand Zoho’s presence in the market.
  • Strategic Prospecting: Tailor your outreach by conducting thorough research on target companies, ensuring your messaging aligns with their specific needs.
  • Generate High-Quality Leads: Your goal is to generate interest and secure meetings, which will then be passed to the National Sales Executive for further development and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership: Work closely with the National Sales Executive and the VP of Sales to ensure your efforts align with the overall sales strategy. Participate in regular strategy sessions to refine your approach.
  • CRM Management: Keep detailed records of your outreach activities in the CRM system to ensure effective communication and tracking.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends and Zoho’s product offerings to communicate our value proposition to potential customers effectively.
  • Coordinate Follow-Up Activities: After securing meetings, coordinate with the National Sales Executive to ensure timely follow-up and proper hand-off of the opportunity, maintaining a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor and Report on KPIs: Regularly track your performance metrics, such as meetings scheduled, lead quality, and outreach success rates. Provide reports to the National Sales Executive and VP of Sales to demonstrate progress and identify areas for improvement.


Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent proficiency in French and English.
  • Be willing and able to travel to our Cornwall, Ont office on a fairly regular basis


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally from a SaaS vendor.
  • Communication Skills: Responsive, approachable, and skilled in conveying ideas and information effectively in meetings. Fluent in both English and French, with strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Cold Calling Proficiency: Highly comfortable with initiating contact and cold-calling prospects.
  • Coaching and Feedback: Open to receiving feedback, coachable, and self-aware.
  • Curiosity and Learning Agility: Demonstrates a curious mindset, actively asks questions to uncover prospects’ pain points and challenges, and can quickly grasp and retain new concepts.
  • Information Retention: Capable of absorbing and retaining substantial amounts of information effectively.



  • Salary and Benefits: The initial base salary for this role is expected to range from $65K to $80K annually, with opportunities for performance bonuses and comprehensive company benefits.
