We are looking for an Environmental Planning or Engineering professional with strong project management skills to support and lead Municipal Class Environmental Assessments in the Municipal Water and Wastewater sector.

Duties:

  1. Project Management of Municipal Water and Wastewater Class EAs, including Master Servicing Plans and capital projects for municipal clients in Ontario. Prepare project management plans and lead the execution of projects, incl. day-to-day management of work scope/schedule/budget for assigned projects, monitor progress to meet schedule and budget requirements, and identify and document scope changes.
  2. Provide technical leadership and oversee the production of project deliverables, and lead the preparation of technical reports and deliver relevant presentations to clients and project stakeholders.
  3. Promote technical excellence and quality assurance of project tasks and deliverables in accordance with RVA’s Project Quality Management System and participate in company-wide quality initiatives.
  4. Analyze and incorporate input from multi-disciplinary teams and subconsultants into the evaluation of alternative solutions.
  5. Lead and participate in Business Development initiatives, including the preparation of proposals.
  6. Mentor and coach project teams including supervision of junior engineers, planners, technologists, and designers.

Qualifications:

  1. University degree in Planning or Engineering or in other professional discipline pertinent to the job function combined with relevant management experience.
  2. Professional Engineering License (P.Eng), Environmental Professional (EP), Registered Professional Planner (RPP), and/or Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) professional designation is an asset.
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
  4. Knowledge of Environmental Assessment methodologies and legislation, as well as related environmental permits.
  5. Demonstrated minimum 5 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  6. Strong technical, writing and presentation skills.
  7. Understanding of local, provincial and federal environmental policies, legislation and applicable law.
