Community Outreach Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, instruction, and coordination of a limited range of community-based programs in accordance with the Salvation Army mission, values, and standards. The incumbent is responsible for the direct supervision of volunteers in a range of community-based programs and seasonal staffing requirements within established guidelines. The incumbent will also work in collaboration with the Ministry Unit lead to support other staff during scheduled vacation and busy working conditions. HOURS: Tuesday through Friday 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm as per operational requirements and includes a ½ hour unpaid meal break. Occasional travel and some scheduled overtime are associated with this position.

- Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.e., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background check search.
- Work in compliance with local policies, WSBC Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army’s health and safety policies and procedures.
- Hold a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license, a copy of a driver’s abstract that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, good judgment and ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality.
