About the Role

Reporting to the HR and LR Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for both general Human Resources and Benefits functions within the scope of ADP administration, general day-to-day employee assistance, and a variety of projects.


This position is full-time out of our office in Oshawa. Willingness to commute to Oshawa, ON is required.


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to: employee onboarding, benefits, and compensation;
  • Draft correspondence, documents, and reports related to employee and labour relations matters;
  • Administer return-to-work programs for all non-occupational injuries or illnesses;
  • Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and administer best practices;
  • Collaborate with site management and union representatives to maintain a harmonious workplace environment;
  • Manage and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge and promote career growth;
  • Enter and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information, including new hires, salary changes, benefit changes, and other relevant employment updates, into ADP;
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of progressive Human Resources experience as a HR Coordinator;
  • Experience working within a Unionized environment is considered an asset;
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in ADP Workforce Now;
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources is required;
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality;
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail;
  • Ability to commute to Oshawa, ON for work.
