Job Description


What you’re responsible for:

  • Responsible for directly managing shift supervisors, mechanics, and administrative staff within the department – Approximately 24 employees
  • Communicating with schedulers to manage the flow and productivity of the shop ensuring that production needs and goals are met
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest level of safety standards including assessing equipment on a quarterly basis for long-term maintenance requirements
  • Setting goals for safety and working with the H&S team to ensure those goals are fulfilled
  • Manage costs and work towards continuous improvement on internal and external costs for asset maintenance
  • Perfect and maintain AIM maintenance plans while considering market priorities for equipment
  • Conducting performance reviews
  • Working with recruitment to ensure team is fully functioning
  • Provide input on vehicle specifications

Qualifications


To join our team:

  • 421A license preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a management position
  • Strong multitasker and communicator
  • Experience in heavy equipment maintenance including material handlers and loaders – Liebherr and CAT knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of hydraulics as well as industrial lifting equipment
  • Comfortable in an industrial environment
