Assistant Press Operator Job Description


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists Press Operator with Press set-up, including changing cylinders, sleeves, and aniloxes

• Provides ink & maintains ink viscosity during run

• Loads raw material onto press with lifting equipment

• Scans UPC codes

• Unloads printed rolls from press & straps onto skids

• Maintains cleanliness of equipment, and area

• Adheres to all Safety rules in safe operation & handling of equipment and materials


Skills/Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Works well independently and in a team environment

• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs


Education/Experience:

• Prior knowledge of the print industry an asset

• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience


Shift:

• 3 shift rotation
