We are a Montreal based, fashion wholesale apparel company with North American and International customers searching for a Senior Fit Technician .

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed tech packs, including creating the sketches in Illustrator.
  • Measure & prepare all fit samples for fittings on live model.
  • Analyze and adjust fits with Designer and make appropriate correction and clearly translate them overseas using sketches & patterns.
  • Follow up on the daily communications with makers overseas and with customers requirements.
  • Advise the Designer about specs and quality for the new development when required.
  • Approve all trims on garment and create grading information once garments are approved.
  • Communicate with customers; send samples and pictures and ensure to follow up for feedback.
  • Approve fabric quality & color for production.
  • Assist other divisions (woven) when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in apparel industry.
  • Proficient in Illustrator & Photoshop.
  • Experience & strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, cut & sew and sweaters as well as woven

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication and interaction skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and organize with meticulous follow up skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Bilingual: English & French.
  • PAD knowledge an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & be production oriented with ability to identify, analyze and resolve fit issues.
  • The ability to work easily within a team.
