Mission/Job Summary:

TallGrass is seeking a Beauty Specialist & Educator for the Vancouver area (lower mainland). This is a part-time contract position which involves public presentations, online webinars, and demo opportunities. This position will involve some travel time within the Vancouver area.

A TallGrass beauty educator is a resource for TallGrass account managers and for our retail partners. The educator educates on our beauty care brands (i.e. Annemarie Borlind skin care & cosmetics, Naturtint hair color, and Sukin Naturals), and provides information above and beyond the standard product knowledge level. A TallGrass beauty educator participates in ongoing beauty training as new information and products are available & offers insights and ideas to support our work together as a team.

Critical Success Factors:

  1. Esthetician or Cosmetologist experience
  2. Makeup application
  3. Excellent knowledge about skin care products
  4. Special interest in working with natural beauty care products
  5. Product knowledge- in-depth understanding of our beauty brands (with training provided)
  6. Inspirational- provide informative and inspiring training to the public
  7. Audience engagement- able to reach both retailer and consumer audiences
  8. Impactful- able to increase sales by providing outstanding seminars & product demos
  9. Sales ability; must be able to sell a minimum of $200 worth of product in a four-hour product demonstration

Competencies:

  1. Excellent public speaker, teacher/educator
  2. Knowledge of the natural health & beauty industry- an asset
  3. Beauty retail sales experience is an asset
  4. Organized & able to work well independently
  5. Charismatic, friendly & approachable
  6. Strong communication skills and team-oriented
  7. Social media following & business website - an asset
