Product Manager – Therapeutic Products

JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Manager is primarily responsible for driving marketing activities and results of assigned brands. The Product Manager develops and executes the marketing plan and specific projects. This position reports to the Director of Marketing Therapeutic. Labtician is a leading provider and manufacturer of medical devices and pharmaceutical products for eye care professionals and their patients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare and execute marketing plans for the launch and/or growth of assigned brands and support the therapeutic product portfolio.
· Perform custom analyses to understand business trends, identify gaps or opportunities and recommend plans and supporting initiatives.
· Initiate and complete analyses of marketing initiatives and offer recommendations.
· Work with the Director of Marketing to implement marketing and sales strategies to achieve established sales and related metrics.
· Manage day-to-day marketing activities so that they meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives, including sales force feedback.
· Assess market competition and market needs to develop marketing and product sales strategies to gain share.
· Define objectives, recommend solutions and required resources, for campaigns and plans that are effective, economical, and appropriate for intended audience.
· Work closely with sales teams and operations to execute marketing plans and manage the product life cycle of brands, provide brand specific messaging and training to sales reps.
· Analyze and present metrics to review the product performance and deep dive analyses of launch plans and marketing initiatives. Make recommendations for decision-making, by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and key indicators.
· Work with team to recommend inventory turnover and product availability by developing demand forecasts.
· Manage brand specific projects and work with agencies and manage external vendors.
· Launch products with market analysis, proposed product requirements and product development programs. Prepare analysis, ROI and time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
· Maintain an updated understanding of Dry Eye, attend conferences and industry meetings.
REQUIREMENTS:
· University Degree preferably in business, sales/marketing
· 5-7 years of Product Marketing or related experience (ideally in pharma, medical devices or life sciences)
· Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills to advocate for ideas, marketing plans, solutions, or initiatives with sales, leaders and global customers.
· Able to look at the big picture and formulate solutions to meet customer needs.
· Problem Solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Gleans insights and solutions from data and trends.
· Judgment- willing to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions.
· Motivation- demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles.
· Planning/Organizing- ability to multi-task, schedule, lead meetings and prioritize. Plans work activities to meet deadlines and key priorities.
· Strong interpersonal skills are needed to advocate and move projects through cross-functional teams.
· Must be proficient with MS Office eg PowerPoint, Word and Excel (to perform analyses and manage data from CRM, etc).
Location - Oakville: This role is hybrid with 2 days per week in the Oakville office, so candidates must reside in/near the GTA. Some participation in trade shows and conferences may be needed and some flexibility in work schedule.
