Overview

  • The Application Data Modelling Specialist will play a pivotal role supporting SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation (moving from SAP ECC) in steering extensive data migration and implementation initiatives throughout the organization, influencing the refinement and enhancement of the data ecosystem. This involves defining the vision, strategy, architecture, processes, standards, and best practices across domains where data migration and integrations occur. The position requires close collaboration with various business lines, IT professionals, and stakeholders to deliver top-tier data solutions aligned with our business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, accuracy, and completeness throughout the data lifecycle, implementing governance, validation, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms for data migration and integration activities.
  • Implement frameworks, methodologies, and controls to ensure strict compliance with business standards.
  • Process and comprehend intricate business processes and requirements through stakeholder engagement and collaboration with IT and business leads.
  • Lead expertise in data governance tools, cloud computing, and technical architecture.
  • Lead expertise in data security, privacy, retrieval, and archival.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, secure, and efficient data pipelines that power data migration and reconciliation.
  • Design and validate data model requirements for ERP, specifically SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP ECC and other IT systems.
  • Manage, mentor, and cultivate a team of application data modelling specialists and developers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively, facilitate workshops, and enforce compliance with policies.
  • Establish and execute the data migration roadmap, aligning with line of business visions and priorities, ensuring timely and successful delivery of data projects.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement within the application data modelling team and across the IT organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, data management, or related roles, with a substantial 3+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Relevant certifications in SAP SuccessFactors or related areas an asset.
  • Demonstrate understanding in a spectrum of data tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, Spark, Kafka, Azure, DBT, Databricks, PowerBI, and more.
  • Expertise in data architecture, modeling, design, security, and optimization principles and practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data mapping, data integration, and configuration.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience in master data, data preparation, data quality, cleaning, and validating practices.
  • Proven track record of delivering intricate and impactful data solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced, and agile environment.
  • Excel in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Display a genuine passion for data and innovation, coupled with a strong desire for continuous learning and growth.
  • Have conducted comprehensive data tool analysis and scoring for optimal recommendations.
  • Capable of scoring and vetting data migration options and processes for individual projects.
