New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a GIS Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure the data, software, and infrastructure components of a Geographic Information System (GIS) by installing, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing the GIS systems to ensure system integrity, availability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining GIS software and hardware, including servers and applications.
  • Database Management: Administering and optimizing spatial databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • User Support: Assisting users with technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and providing training on GIS tools and systems.
  • Access and Security: Managing user access permissions and ensuring data security for sensitive geographic information.
  • System Updates: Performing regular updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the GIS infrastructure is up-to-date and functioning smoothly.
