About the Job

Searidge Technologies, a global leader and preferred partner for Remote Tower and Digital Airport solutions, is currently recruiting for a Software Tester with a solid understanding of designing, writing, and running tests on software (functional and non-functional testing). The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and running test cases, analyzing test results, and reporting any observations to the software development team. This will be a permanent, full-time position, reporting to the Head of Platform & Products.

Responsibilities

  1. Review system and software requirements and create tests based on the requirements.
  2. Maintain a database of software test cases, adding and removing test cases as software components and requirements evolve.
  3. Set up test environments on physical on-premise testbeds and in cloud environments.
  4. Execute tests for individual software components and integrated sub-systems, acting as an embedded QA tester for the software development and product teams.
  5. Design and develop automation scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  6. Analyze results of test executions, reporting any issues or areas for improvement to the product management team.
  7. Perform long-term stability and reliability tests.
  8. Prepare reports on all aspects of the software testing performed and report to the software development and product teams.
  9. Interact with system delivery teams and software developers to understand software requirements, test that the software and subsystems meet the requirements, and communicate any areas of improvements.
  10. Actively seek ways to improve the quality of systems provided by Searidge to its customers.

Qualifications

  1. Computer Science Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
  2. 3+ years of experience as a Software Tester or similar position.
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
  4. Working knowledge of testing techniques and their compatibility with deployment methodologies and programming languages.
  5. Experience working with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and databases.
  6. Experience working with Windows and Linux systems.
  7. Experience with automated testing.
  8. Extensive experience reviewing requirements and deriving tests.
  9. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  10. Experience with Git and Jira.
  11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  12. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  13. Must be a team player and willing to learn.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Experience setting up cloud test environments.
  2. Experience with JEST, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, or other testing frameworks is an asset.
  3. Experience with Python.
  4. Experience with Visual Studio Code.
  5. Hands-on experience programming in C++ and web languages.
  6. Experience with Helm.
  7. Understanding of cybersecurity threats, solutions, and best practices.
  8. Familiarity with one or more languages in addition to English.
