Job Title: Manual Medical Device Tester

Location: Plymouth, MN

Job Description

  1. Designs, implements, debugs, and executes software tests according to corporate policies and business operating procedures on new and sustaining engineering projects.
  2. Reviews test results, defects, and change requests to analyze the software impacts.
  3. Works on specific tasks under the direction of a manager or senior test engineer.
  4. Participates in test reviews to better understand requirements and receive guidance on test approaches.
  5. Applies test design principles and technologies to verify software meets requirements and identify anomalies in software operation.
  6. Supports senior engineers in investigating new test technologies and tools.
  7. Performs module-level and functional-level testing of software applications.
  8. Documents defects, capturing steps to reproduce and information for debugging.
  9. Identifies test automation areas in projects.
  10. Validates software test tools according to corporate procedures.
  11. Collects data to generate metrics to assess test progress and software quality.
  12. Creates and maintains automated test scripts using appropriate scripting and tools to support project needs.

Education & Experience
  1. Network testing background like TCP/IP & Packet capture (2-3 years minimum experience)
  2. Test case designing and deep understanding of system testing
  3. Experience in Python
