The Technical Project Manager will use project management methodologies and best practices to deliver projects on time and within budget. He/she will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment handling a varied portfolio of high visibility projects with many stakeholders and sometimes competing priorities. He/she will work closely with other infrastructure and application teams to design, plan, and implement technical solutions including leading and directing project resources through to implementation, in a global data network environment.

The Reporting Relationship:
The position reports to the IT PMO Manager.

Key Competencies:

  1. Strong Project Management skills in a PMO environment.
  2. Designing and writing the runbook to deploy infrastructure for applications including Windows, Linux, Oracle, SQL, Citrix, VMWare, Storage, and Backup.
  3. Working closely with the Operations team on deployment of the applications.
  4. Disaster Recovery.
  5. Ability to deliver on tight timelines.
  6. Ability to interact and present to senior-level stakeholders.

Skills Desired:

  1. Strong PM skills.
  2. Strong personality. Needs to be forceful and not be a walkover.
  3. Technical background – not expecting an expert, but someone who has sound conceptual knowledge of the following:
  1. MCSE training/qualifications.
  2. VMWare stack.
  3. Storage technologies.
  4. Network including firewalls.
  5. Backup/replication technologies.
  6. Citrix.
