Electrical Technician Can-Am On-Road

We are looking for a Can-Am On-Road Electrical Technician. As a member of the engineering team and reporting to a BRP Chief Designer, your main mandate will be to study, design and develop various electrical and mechatronic systems for a recreational vehicle. You'll have the chance to be directly involved in the company's success through innovation and continuous improvement of its products. You'll be part of a dynamic and motivated team.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Working with the designers and engineers to design new parts, systems and vehicles
- Providing support for prototype vehicle assembly and diagnostics in the shop
- Closely monitoring the development of prototype parts under your responsibility
- Playing a leadership role in component architecture and assembly methods
- Coordinating and participating in the creation of wiring diagrams, component lists and drawings and their on-time release
- Analyzing technical problems and identifying and suggesting appropriate solutions
- Collaborating with and supporting other departments (Service, Production, etc.)
- Supporting production in BRP’s various plants
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- You have a DEC (college diploma) in electrical or electrotechnical engineering or equivalent
- You have knowledge and skills in electrotechnical engineering, electromechanics, electrical circuit design and hard wired logic
- You are independent and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility
- You are familiar with Capital, SEE Electrical Expert and Excel
- You have experience using CATIA, INCA and Mentor Graphics software (an asset)
- You are at ease in an environment where technical solutions are not known and processes have yet to be developed
- You are a great collaborator and exceptional team player
