YMCA of Southwestern Ontario was founded in 1856 and has over 200 locations from Goderich to Point Pelee, and Windsor to Woodstock. Position: School Age/CSP DirectorStart Date: As soon as possible
Compensation: Starting rates $53,079 including partial wage enhancement grant
As part of your total compensation:

- Contribute to real, meaningful impact in the lives of children and youth
- Monday through Friday (no weekends)
- 7.5 hour workday
- 37.5 hour work week
- Hours fluctuate between 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Oversee YMCA Before and After School programs for a grouping of schools located in the Windsor/Essex County area.
- Support, coach and mentor front line educators daily in a professional and positive manner
- Design and implement an inclusive learning environment that follows the YMCA Curriculum, ensuring that all areas of development are addressed by educators daily.
- Articulate How Does Learning Happen, a play-based learning curriculum approach to families, community and outside agencies with confidence and clarity.
- Design and implement an inclusive environment that follows the YMCA Curriculum, ensuring that all areas of development are addressed by educators daily.
- Demonstrate YMCA Core Values- Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Caring and Inclusiveness - in all daily interactions.
- Maintain accurate records, files and forms as required by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, and the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario.
- Always liaise with parents and community partners in a professional manner.
- Continuously practice clean culture, ensuring program classrooms are clean, organized and professional looking at all times.
- Implement, practice and mentor daily, the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario Program Statement.
- Utilize age-appropriate child coaching and mentoring techniques in all interactions with the children.
- Complete purchasing and delivery for snacks, program supplies and purchased equipment for assigned locations.
- Support in program as needed, due to staff absences.
- Ensure the program policies and procedures, as well as the day-to-day operation, are in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Child Care Early Years Act (2014) and YMCA of Southwestern Ontario.
- Follow Public Health and Fire Regulations
- Evaluate program quality as required utilizing the audit tools and systems.
- Manage the budget for multiple sites
- Build and maintain strong community partnerships (i.e. school personnel, etc.)
- Process all registrations in a timely manner and monitor enrollment
- Assist with onboarding new staff as needed
- An Early Childhood Educator Diploma, or diploma or degree in a related field of study, combined with a minimum of 2 years of related supervisory experience within a childcare environment
- Registered and in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Graduates in a related field of study must be members of their associations as required
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or include the date of training scheduled within the next three months. Training cost and time is at the expense of the applicant and not reimbursed
- Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age or older to obtain a current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check (less than 6 months old)
- Up-to-date immunizations required by Public Health, Ministry of Education and YMCASWO
- Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending, and stooping
- Current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check
- Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age or older as per Ministry of Education guidelines
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
