  • Job Description

Join our renowned bridge and engineering structures team as a site supervision technician for our major transportation group. You'll contribute to a number of rehabilitation, monitoring and inspection projects on bridges, culverts, retaining walls and engineering structures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise work and ensure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Compare work performed against plans and specifications, control quality and quantities of materials, and prepare daily reports.
  • Prepare documents required for payment requests
  • Act as liaison between designers and the site to resolve problems, follow up and manage the interests and expectations of the various stakeholders
  • Draft notices to contractors to ensure compliance with contractual clauses
  • Take the necessary measures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations or written directives relating to the work
  • Profile
  • DEC in civil engineering or related discipline
  • 5 years' experience in structures (bridges, engineering structures, buildings)
  • Worksite safety training (ASP card)
  • MTQ Construction and Repair of Structures course (an asset)
  • AQTR training in supervision and monitoring of STC-102 roadwork signage (an asset)
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English. Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our customers, partners and cross-sectoral teams nationwide.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
