SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor supervises preventive and corrective maintenance work for assigned stores. Ensures all work is completed within our standards in a timely and economical manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervises preventative and corrective maintenance work for various properties (roofing, plumbing, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical, etc.) as well as various project work.
  2. Coordinates and monitors tasks related to the proper maintenance of stores equipment as well as general maintenance services (janitorial, waste removal, snow removal, landscaping, etc.).
  3. Evaluates after inspection, the appropriate corrective measures to be taken.
  4. Ensures the respect of established standards, while completing all tasks in a timely and economical manner.
  5. Evaluates quotations and negotiates prices and/or contents as needed.
  6. Prepares work requisition and transmits same for appropriate approval.
  7. Manages, analyzes periodic expense reports to ensure budget is respected.
  8. Verifies and approves all corrective work invoices for payment.
  9. Responds to after hour calls and emergencies as required.
  10. Search for new Contractors.
  11. Other related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. College level diploma in Building systems or Electro-mechanical studies.
  2. 3 - 5 years experience in building maintenance.
  3. Intermediate Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel).
  4. Skilled task supervision and coordination.
  5. Skilled negotiator.
  6. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

RELATIONSHIPS: Office, Stores, Pharmacies, Suppliers/vendors, City officials, Fire departments, Labour inspectors, Government health inspectors, Technical Standards and Safety Authority, Electrical Safety Authority.

This is a temporary position.
