Description

This role oversees the day-to-day operations of eight locations located in the Northern Ontario Region. You are responsible for all recruitment and staffing related activities and schedule/payroll duties. You will be required to travel regularly (up to 50% of the time) to conduct store visits and ensure locations are operating according to national standards. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will provide regular business updates including reports on volume, revenue, and other company KPIs. The role will require some evening/weekend work and other duties as assigned.

Please Note: This is a permanent, full-time position and the hours of work will be dictated by the business need. Potential candidates should also be aware of the amount of travel required, as they will be responsible for various locations, which currently includes remote Northern Ontario locations.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a strong people leader who can multi-task and has excellent coaching and relationship building skills.

  • Responsible for managing staffing & recruitment for all Retail, SRR, and Clerical Operations Support.
  • Accountable for managing the region's talent development, recruitment retention, and training.
  • Conduct store and terminal visits to ensure stores are operating according to national standards. Checks to include:
  • Inventory management.
  • Store cleanliness.
  • Brand standards.
  • Equipment checks.
Manage the store's budget to ensure General Ledger is accurate and relevant.Provide monthly/quarterly reports as required to the Divisional Retail Manager.Monitor and track volume, revenue, and Retail KPIs.Track competitive analysis as required.Provide leadership to the Retail team and support representatives through development, training, and the Attendance Awareness Program.Attend Management meetings as required.Assist with territory management within the region to include: training, providing information, customer inquiries, and acting as Operations liaison for Shipping Agents, Staples, PUDO, Michaels, and Drop Boxes.Education

High school or secondary school diploma, graduation certificate, or equivalency certificate.

Experience
  • Three to Five years Management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage locations and people remotely.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Decisive and competent self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to build and promote a well-functioning team environment.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Competency with Microsoft suite and Office 365 environment.
