Job Description

The IT Project Lead - Infrastructure works cross-functionally within the organization to ensure the delivery of networking & communications infrastructure systems as well as office support technologies to support the staff operated by Tricon Residential at various Canadian Multi-Family Residential locations. This role works closely with Technical, Construction, Operations, and Program/Product/Project Leadership to determine project priorities and resolve scheduling issues, and has the ability to demonstrate some independence, creativity, and initiative that permits work to be accepted and trusted by upper management and cross-functional teams across Tricon.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • With support from other Project Managers and senior leadership, lead the delivery of network projects composed of network devices and supporting infrastructure, fiber, circuit adds, moves, changes or disconnects and related 3rd party services that empower our Multi Family Residential and Commercial property needs.
  • Work with other Project Managers and senior leadership to ensure facilities and network communications connectivity are delivered on schedule and meet specifications. Assist upstream planning, design, and acquisition teams in developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations.
  • Coordinate multiple interdependent projects. Lead project status meetings. Be responsible for change management, risk management and management of communication to all stakeholders, both upstream and downstream, keeping them apprised of project and delivery status.
  • Facilitate review and acceptance of vendor handover documentation from the build teams to the operational staff.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in technical facilitation of network deployment projects, exposure to vendor and people management.
  • Ability to manage (with minimal supervision) project priorities and technical resources, relationships with multiple partner-teams, directors, and/or vendors.
  • Ability to travel to construction sites within the locality as required.
  • Good communication skills combined with a data-driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience working in Cross-functional Programs and working among several technical groups such as engineering teams.
  • Experience in Network Architecture or Technical Infrastructure programs.
  • Experience in defining network and communication requirements that underpin various applications and building services.
