• Project: Canadian Digital Banking Engineering – Applications is seeking a QA/QC Test Analyst to support a combination of their ongoing project & Mobile App Regression testing-working on mobile banking and web applications – resources are shuffled around projects based on need Candidate Value Proposition: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a high-performance team and work on high end technologies for a top 5 Canadian Bank.

Typical Day in Role:

• Stand-up Meeting, Sprint planning, test scheduling and test execution
• Testing as per the Acceptance criteria defined in user stories
• iOS/Android App installation using XCode/Android Studio
• Validation of client side and server-side error messages, requests/responses through Charles Proxy
• Create Test Strategy, come up with Test Device Matrix and review with program team
• Execute test scenarios, scripts, or procedures – Exploratory Testing, Backward compatibility testing
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Validation of API endpoints using Dynatrace

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 5-7 years of hands-on Testing experience with both Native iOS & Android mobile apps
• 4+ Hands on front-end UI experience with digital trading platform testing [Quotes, Equity, Options, covered and uncovered calls and puts, Option strategies etc.]
• Experience in Wealth Management Domain specifically in Trading is a must
• Experience with order management and trading applications in the equity brokerage space Functional testing – should know difference between equity and options, how to place trades (front end place trades fille orders and validate UI), regression testing

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• 2-3 years Automation testing experience (how to automate mobile apps, no specific language preference)
• Native accessibility testing using JAWS Screen Reader + Screen Magnifying tools (all mobile testers run accessibility testing and work with team on developers)
• Experience testing on web apps
• Recent relevant Banking Industry Experience 5) French testing experience (to validate via Confluence pages)

Soft Skills Required:

• Excellent communications skills to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight – Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running
• Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
• Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding

Education:

• Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
• ISTQB certification an asset

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Recent experience testing Mobile Applications – iOS & Android
• Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans/Test Strategy, scripts and test results reports
• Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing
• Automation experience
