Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate, trust and personal income tax returns.
  • Prepare audit, review and compilation working papers along with financial statements and appropriate disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare special reports, financial forecasts or projects as per client requests.
  • Participate in review of financial and accounting information and records to provide assurance engagement services to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, and work with a team of professionals to ensure accounting work gets completed accurately and on time.
  • Complete all planned procedures in accordance with the firm’s standards and GAAP.
  • Deliver quality service with speed and accuracy and abide by the firm’s standards.
  • Act as a mentor to junior accounting staff, guiding them in their career development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in accounting, tax and financial advisory.
  • Prior experience in assurance engagements in an accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding and thorough knowledge of ASPE, ASNFPO and CAS.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Caseware, QuickBooks, etc.
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA designation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong English reading, written and verbal skills.
