What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor degree or Master degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or data science (preferred), with a track record of academic excellence.
  • 15+ years of professional experience performing analytic development work in financial services, consumer credit, or a related (regulated, compliance-driven) industry, with at least 8+ years in a successful leadership role.
  • Understanding of data acquisition practices from furnishers, third parties, with ability to monitor data performance and resolve issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit, marketing, fraud and other related data assets and business practices in a regulated industry.
  • Evidence of strong analytical, critical, and creative thinking and willingness to take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated interest and proven career path in industries served by TransUnion, such as financial services, insurance, fraud, and digital marketing.
  • Solid programming skills and aptitude; mastery of statistical programs such as R or Python; mastery of other programming and data manipulation languages and platforms (SQL, Hive, Spark, C/C++, Java); high level of familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to lead complex data & analytic projects under limited supervision.
  • Experience delivering complex data solutions driven by partnership of local teams and Global Capabilities Centers, located in India and around the globe.
  • Track record of success in matrixed organizations; working successfully with peers at both headquarters and across the globe.
  • Strong project management, along with change and time management skills for leading complex portfolios and work streams simultaneously with minimal supervision in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at multiple levels - including senior leadership ranks - within a complex and dynamic matrix organization.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic planning experience for global organizations at a regional level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to translate technical concepts into articulate, actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to present a compelling strategic vision to commercial leaders and facilitate use of the newest technologies.
  • Availability to travel, domestically and internationally.
Impact You'll Make:

TransUnion Canada is seeking a Regional Chief Data & Analytics officer. An experienced and enthusiastic leader to represent and lead all aspects of data science, analytics, data acquisition, and data management in Canada for our Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) function. This role is responsible for leading their region (Canada), through credit and non-credit analytic solution development, custom analytic solutions as well as data strategy, acquisition, onboarding, and quality control.

How you will contribute:
  • Understand key business priorities as defined in 3YP and partner with regional presidents and regional sales & solutions leadership to ensure D&A can deliver on the priorities outlined.
  • Build relationships across all of the functions with the various stakeholders in order to understand linkages & collaboration opportunities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive, prioritized book of work at all times.
  • Help optimize Data & Analytics platforms landscape in partnership with Global Technology.
  • Clearly articulate impact of Data & Analytics towards 3YP and define roadmap to continuously increase impact.
  • Be the voice of TransUnion D&A through thought leadership and engagement within the region.
  • Engage with CDAOs in the marketplace and create a network to understand emerging market needs.
  • Publish white papers and thought leadership articles to highlight TransUnion innovation internally and externally.
  • Improve awareness and education towards the full Data & Analytics value chain.
  • Lead delivery of critical projects to provide thought leadership and navigate stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain a pipeline of “leading” priorities and a pipeline for future innovation and impact.
  • Drive a high performing Data & Analytics culture within the region.
  • Follow all organizational talent related routines and practices.
  • Actively work toward de-risking the business by identifying initiatives to optimize your region's posture on Data Security, Data Privacy, Data Quality, Model Risk Management, compliance, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize cost and drive efficiency through streamlined processes and work-flows.
  • Be aware of GT and D&A transformation globally and evangelize it within your regions.
  • Be aware of Global Credit, Fraud and Marketing Solutions roadmaps to ensure alignment within your regions.
  • Leverage global resources, GCCs and COEs to accelerate impact.
  • Share best projects and learnings from your regions globally.
  • Be aware of emerging Business and Technology Trends across regions.
