Esri Canada has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager in our Community Planning team, reporting to the Director, Community Planning.

The person in this role must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management methodologies in order to work with intricate, multifaceted projects. They must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the development team and make project presentations.

Project Manager, Community Planning responsibilities include:
Managing overall coordination of planning and housing projects, from planning through implementation.
Setting project scope, priorities, deadlines and deliverable schedules
Facilitating discussion and consensus among various project stakeholders such as the client, the division and the project management office.
Managing and monitoring project budgets and expenditures
Actively maintain project resource, governance and financial information in Esri Canada’s corporate professional services automation system.
Proactively identifies potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed and presented to the project stake holders.
Uses appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change
Promotes IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality, adherence to standard methodology.
Prepare the quality management plan as well as leading the quality assurance and testing plans.
Obtain stakeholder signoff on key deliverables
Managing project close out and lesions learned review
Aid in business development initiatives and the development of assigned consulting services opportunities.
Negotiate with clients with respect to project scope, deliverables, timelines, resources and acceptance
Produce status and other project control reports as required.
Work closely with directors, managers, account managers and project team to manage client expectations and ensure project objectives are met.
Carry out business analysis for clients as part of the project scoping.

Specific skill requirements:
Equivalent education and experience
5+ years’ experience with IT and/or GIS applications
1+ years’ experience as a project manager on planning and housing projects
Knowledge of development methodologies
Good understanding of GIS based applications
Ability to qualify for CAPM designation
Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of current project management tools and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to prepare project documents.

La personne occupant ce poste relève de la directrice ou du directeur, Aménagement communautaire. Elle doit démontrer des connaissances et une expérience des méthodologies de gestion de projets afin de travailler sur des projets complexes et multiformes. Elle doit posséder de solides compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles pour collaborer avec l’équipe de développement et faire des présentations de projets.

La ou le gestionnaire de projets, Aménagement communautaire, devra mener à bien les tâches suivantes :
Assurer la coordination générale des projets d’urbanisme et de logement, de l’aménagement à la mise en œuvre.
Établir la portée, les priorités et les échéances des projets, ainsi que le calendrier de dépôt des biens livrables.
Faciliter la discussion et le consensus entre les différentes parties prenantes d’un projet, telles que le client, la division et le bureau de gestion de projets.
Gérer et surveiller les budgets et les dépenses des projets.
Conserver activement les renseignements relatifs aux ressources, à la gouvernance et aux finances des projets dans le système organisationnel d’automatisation des services professionnels d’Esri Canada.
Déterminer de manière proactive les risques de manière à élaborer des stratégies d’atténuation appropriées et à les présenter aux intervenants des projets.
Utiliser les stratégies et les mesures nécessaires pour surmonter la résistance au changement.
Promouvoir les normes de TI et les meilleures pratiques en matière de gestion de projet afin de faciliter le contrôle de la qualité des systèmes et d’assurer le respect de la méthode standard.
Préparer le plan de gestion de la qualité ainsi que gérer les plans d’assurance de la qualité et d’essai.
Faire approuver par les intervenants les biens livrables essentiels.
Gérer la clôture des projets et l’examen des leçons apprises.
Contribuer aux initiatives de prospection de la clientèle et à la poursuite des occasions d’affaires en services-conseils qui vous auront été assignées.
Négocier avec les clients la portée , les biens livrables, les échéanciers, les ressources et les modalités d’acceptation des projets.
Produire des états d’avancement des projets et tout autre rapport de suivi, au besoin.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les personnes affectées à la direction, à la gestion et à la gestion de comptes afin de répondre aux attentes des clients et d’atteindre les objectifs associés aux projets.
Réaliser des analyses d’affaires pour les clients dans le cadre de l’établissement de la portée des projets.

Formation, expérience et aptitudes nécessaires
Formation et expérience pertinentes.
Au moins cinq ans d’expérience avec des applications informatiques ou SIG.
Au moins un an d’expérience à titre de gestionnaire sur des projets liés à l’urbanisme et au logement.
Connaissance des méthodes de développement.
Bonne compréhension des applications SIG.
Capacité à obtenir la certification CAPM.
Expérience et connaissance pratiques des outils et des techniques de gestion de projet actuels.
Aptitude démontrée à préparer la documentation relative aux projets.

Connaissance et expérience pratiques du logiciel MS Project.
Aptitude à travailler en équipe.
Aptitude à déléguer des tâches ainsi que capacité à gérer son temps et à mener plusieurs tâches à la fois.
Excellentes aptitudes en matière de communication et de présentation.
