We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our client’s team in Calgary. In this key leadership role, you will work closely with the CFO and our existing legal team, providing strategic guidance on all business development and commercial matters. As a senior member of the team, you will collaborate with the leasing and sales departments, as well as other members of senior management, to support organizational growth and success. This position requires 10+ years' experience in Corporate and/or Contract Law (Leasing and Financing backgrounds are preferred) along with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability, a strong work ethic and a positive team attitude. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional in the aviation industry, with a strong background in commercial law and business strategy to make a significant impact within a dynamic and innovative organization.



Responsibilities


  • :
    Create standards and processes for drafting agreements, mitigate and address contractual risks, and work with the appropriate leaders to align business processes with contractual obligation
  • s.Support the company's interest on all legal proceedings including litigations, arbitrations and hearings as require
  • d.Ensure the firm's operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations and manage legal risks effectivel
  • y.Provide guidance and support to legal staff on all legal inquiries and request
  • s.Provide guidance in the advising of regulatory and contractual issues and review applicable statutes and regulation
  • s.Source external legal support and manage contractual relationships as require
  • d.Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met with the highest level of professionalis

  • entsA Bachelor of Law (LLB) from an accredited Canadian university and current membership with the Law Society of Albe
  • rta.A Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be considered an as
