Our Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to manage Cloud infrastructure projects including Infrastructure as Code, Loadbalancing migration initiative with MS Azure within Agile environment - 0114104
1 year contract, possibilities of extensions, Hybrid (2 days/week) - Richmond, BC
Must Have:
- 10+ years of Project management experience managing multiple large hybrid delivery (agile waterfall) or agile scrum delivery methods that span one or multiple business units, demonstrating mastery of various project management principles, methods and techniques.
- Direct and recent hands-on experience with creating and monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources; status reporting; identifying/managing project issues and risks; and change control.
- Experience working with Technical team and implementing Infrastructure projects: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as code, Load Balancing Migration and Virtualization Migration Large scale project experience.
- Experience with Azure Cloud
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including extensive experience in preparing status reports and presenting to sponsors, IT and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate technical teams towards achieving robust solutions in a complex environment.
- Experience in negotiating for and sharing resources with others.
- SAFe training and certification (e.g., SAFe for Teams or SAFe Scrum Master), or willingness to undertake training and obtain certification within two (2) months from commencement of work.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage all aspects of one or multiple infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives across various business units.
- Leadership: Provide leadership to the project team by building, coaching, and motivating team members to meet project goals and milestones.
- Project Lifecycle Ownership: Own the full project lifecycle from initiation to deployment for one or more major initiatives simultaneously.
- Comprehensive Project Management: Develop and manage all project aspects, comprising planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, issues, and day-to-day activities, including:
- Setting and continually managing project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
- Preparing estimates and detailed project plans for all phases.
- Managing project scope and changes.
- Procuring adequate resources to achieve project objectives within planned timeframes.
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including project teams, sponsors, senior executive management, and key stakeholders.
- Reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities.
- Managing ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.
- Defining Statements of Work and Specifications for requested goods and services.
- Monitoring, tracking, and controlling outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
- Defining success criteria and disseminating them to involved parties throughout the project and program lifecycle.
- Participating in feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate stakeholders.
