Purpose of the position :


The Director of Procurement is responsible for the purchasing strategy for all products and services within the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for negotiating with value- and innovation-focused suppliers for all business units. They will promote efficiency and effectiveness, ensure operational excellence, reduce costs, and improve the company’s profitability.


More specifically, your daily responsibilities with us will include:


  • Developing the purchasing strategy for all products and services within the organization
  • Establishing, implementing, and maintaining procurement guidelines and policies, including tracking tools and metrics
  • Negotiating, managing, and implementing all contracts for our products and services while maintaining ongoing relationships with key suppliers
  • Leading, engaging, developing, and managing the performance of the strategic sourcing team in Quebec
  • Working closely with senior management to agree on the purchasing strategy for all products and services
  • Liaising with all departments within the company to ensure their priorities are taken into account
  • Demonstrating leadership in the development and implementation of a company-wide purchasing and procurement system
  • Advocating for and promoting the organization’s values and philosophy, particularly regarding ethics, morality, and integrity
  • Completing all other assigned tasks

Qualifications :


  • University degree (Bachelor’s) in Business Administration or in any related and relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in Procurement with 3 years in a leadership role
  • Previous experience in the health care/hospitality/real estate industry is an asset
  • Experience dealing with RFP's, and vendor contracts
  • Technical knowledge of commodities purchased and cost drivers
