An established and proudly Canadian retailer with a strong presence nationwide is seeking a visionary Senior Director of Marketing and E-commerce to lead its brand and digital growth strategy. With a commitment to quality, style, and customer experience, it continues to evolve and innovate in a competitive marketplace. Reporting to the President, you will be a key senior leadership team member and drive brand marketing and digital commerce strategies to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth across all channels. This strategic and hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and deeply understands omnichannel retail. This role is ideally based in Winnipeg, but they are open to a fractional leader or a hybrid/remote role.

Description

  • Develop and execute a cohesive marketing and e-commerce strategy that aligns with company goals and supports both physical retail and digital sales.
  • Oversee brand development, campaign planning, digital advertising, and customer engagement strategies across all channels, including social media, email, SEO/SEM, and paid media.
  • Lead the e-commerce team in driving online traffic, conversion optimization, and customer retention.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Retail, and Operations teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and seamless customer experience.
  • Analyze and report on performance metrics to continuously refine marketing and e-commerce strategies.
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure strong ROI on all initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of marketing and e-commerce professionals.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing and/or e-commerce, ideally within the apparel or retail sector.
  • A proven track record of building and executing integrated marketing plans and delivering strong online sales performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms, CRM, content strategy, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, etc.).
  • Creative, data-driven, and customer-obsessed mindset.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. MBA is a plus.
