A Day in the life:
In this role, theWarehouse Manageris responsible for a variety of warehouse activities and for overseeing all shipping and receiving duties. This position has a major impact on customer satisfaction because it directly affects the speed and quality of service, both in terms of parts delivery to end users, and in contributing to the Service Technicians' first-time fix rate.
Duties and Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor warehouse team's productivity and quality of work in accordance with the standards developed by the leadership team
- Manage facility operations, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, and plan the layout of the warehouse to optimize its usage
- Review branch, truck and go box inventory to ensure a high First Time Fix (FTF) rate
- Create schedule and execute truck inventory counts by branch, and ensure excess stock from trucks is returned in a timely manner
- Ensure stock is loaded on new or existing trucks to maintain stocking levels according to criteria (Gas, Electric, Steam, RFG)
- Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding products and hazardous materials, and ensure that Health and Safety regulations are met
- Order warehouse materials as required
- Prepare and submit periodic reports
- Research parts issues on service orders and adjust where needed
- Monitor and make stock adjustments as required
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse team (day-to-day, performance management, reviews etc.)
- Develop monthly KPI's to drive accountability and accuracy (Fill Rate, Pick Accuracy etc.)
- Communicate goals, objectives, strategies, results and plans to warehouse team
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications)
- High school graduation required
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a related field
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Must have experience with a current ERP system
- Up to date Forklift, TDG and WHMIS training required
