Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior/Intermediate Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on engineering design in instrumentation and PLC hardware, with an emphasis on cabinet design. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who is eager to learn and contribute to our engineering projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Engineering Design: Develop and design instrumentation systems, PLC hardware, and cabinet layouts.
  2. Documentation: Create and maintain SIS practices, logic diagrams, and programming documentation.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with a team of experienced professionals to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  4. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications:


  1. Education: Engineering degree (EIT, P.Eng., or CET).
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years and up to 10 years of experience in instrumentation engineering design.
  3. Technical Skills:
    1. Strong background in instrumentation and PLC hardware.
    2. Experience in cabinet design.
    3. Familiarity with SIS practices, logic diagrams, and programming is a plus.
  4. Additional Skills: Not interested in resumes with significant experience in automation, controls, IT, OT, SCADA, network, cybersecurity, process controls/applications, DCS hardware, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting, project management, or asset management.

Other Requirements:


  1. Location: Must be able to commute to the Redwater site (Monday-Thursday, 4x10 hours).
  2. Availability: Ability to start within a reasonable timeframe.
