What you will be doing:

Our design team is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Mobile Product Designer to join our innovative and collaborative team. We live and breathe product design and thrive on creating user experiences that truly stand out. If you have dedicated your craft at turning research into designs that people love, you're the one we want.

As a Mobile Product Designer, you'll be at the heart of improving our mobile channel. Your task: to craft user journeys and interactions that users can't resist, using design research, delightful visuals, and UX principles.

In this role, you will lead:

  1. Lead the charge in making our product interactions and visuals top-notch.
  2. Elicit design based on business requirements and align on creative strategy and client experience between product, design, and development teams.
  3. Conduct studies on usability, interaction, visual design, content, and information architecture.
  4. Make design decisions guided by principles, customer insights, data, and business savviness.
  5. Constantly quest to make user interactions even better.
  6. Collaborate with service designers, accessibility champions, and content creators.
  7. Help evolve the Tangerine Design system and champion a mobile-first design approach.
  8. Ensure knowledge on accessibility best-practices for inclusive design solutions.
  9. Shape, influence, and nurture our design culture and process.
  10. Plan design activities, set expectations on timing, and balance creativity with constraints.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  1. 5+ years of experience in crafting native mobile apps.
  2. Talent in creating visually stunning designs and captivating visual assets.
  3. A portfolio that showcases wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and conceptual explorations.
  4. Expertise in mobile user interface best practices.
  5. Proficiency in Figma and Sketch, with skills in interactive prototyping, animation, and usability studies.
  6. Deep understanding of UI frameworks and guidelines for iOS and Android.
  7. Familiarity with mobile app development and basic understanding of languages like Swift/Objective-C and Java/Kotlin is a bonus.
  8. Meticulousness in design QA.
  9. Top-notch communication skills and ability to work smoothly with developers and stakeholders.
  10. Experience in financial institutions or related fields is a bonus.
