Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Specialist with a strong development background to join a sector of the Canadian Government on a full-time contract basis. The contractor will be responsible for optimizing and managing our Active Directory environments, including Azure Active Directory, and ensuring seamless integration with Workday for automatic user provisioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active Directory Management: Oversee and manage the Active Directory (AD) environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

  • Azure Active Directory (Azure AD): Implement and maintain Azure AD, including Azure Automation Runbooks and Log Analytics, to enhance the functionality and efficiency of our cloud-based identity management.

  • PowerShell Scripting: Optimize and refine existing PowerShell scripts to streamline operations, automate tasks, and enhance the overall efficiency of the AD environment.

  • Workday Integration: Modify and maintain the Workday Connector to ensure accurate and automated user provisioning between Workday and AD, minimizing manual interventions and errors.

  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for all AD-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of incidents.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all AD processes, scripts, and integrations to support continuity and knowledge transfer within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an Active Directory Specialist with a strong development background, particularly in the context of PowerShell scripting and AD management.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Profound knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
    • Expertise in Azure Automation Runbooks and Log Analytics.
    • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills, with experience in optimizing existing scripts.
    • Experience with Workday integration, particularly in modifying connectors for automatic user provisioning.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively document processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Active Directory, Azure, or related areas are a plus.

  • Workday Expertise: Prior experience with Workday user provisioning and connector modifications is highly desirable.

Contract Details:

  • Hourly Rate: $60/hr
