Konecranes is a global leader in material handling solutions, serving a broad range of customers across multiple industries. In this role, as part of the Service Operations, you will be assisting with the service delivery in your assigned territory. Responsibilities include:

  • Being engaged and aware of your territory’s overall Service Operations and customer needs.
  • Closing communication and interaction with the Service Manager and Coordinators.
  • Generating new service requests in the system when necessary and attaching all pertinent documentation.
  • Managing the schedule of service work for assigned customers and field operatives.
  • Maintaining the Planning Board in Siebel to ensure all internal stakeholders can view the updated schedule and proactively communicating with field operatives and local management when needed.
  • Tracking and receiving materials required, arranging for necessary rental equipment, as well as subcontracting when needed.
  • Communicating with customers and internal stakeholders throughout projects, arranging subcontracted services and equipment, including rentals.
  • Opening service requests and scheduling field operatives to respond to emergency breakdowns.
  • Reviewing invoicing details of completed work before moving forward with the invoicing process.
  • Reviewing completed actions in the service request for completion and accuracy, monitoring work packages and trackers within the system to ensure the service requests are progressing and communicating with the Service Manager all concerns.
  • Creating appropriate charge lines for services provided to the customer and ensuring charge lines match customer purchase orders when necessary.
  • Forwarding leads by the Field Operatives to designated resources for estimation and quotation.
  • Performing invoicing preparation daily to meet company standards, continuously maintaining the Work-in-Progress Report (WIP) ensuring it reflects the current status of active service work.
  • Ensuring any hourly time issues are addressed before sending jobs to invoicing, coordinating with Service Manager and Territory Operations Manager to make sure problematic jobs receive the proper attention.
  • Reviewing job performance and lessons learned while providing feedback to other coordinators or the Sales teams.
  • Following and assisting in the enforcement of all safety rules and procedures including those established by the customer, being resourceful and willing to support in emergency breakdowns until customer equipment is functional.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred, prior equivalent experience and training will be considered.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 7 years experience in industrial service and/or dispatching business preferred. Must be customer-oriented, able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced service environment. Excellent communication and people skills. Very strong systems and PC skills.
