What we offer:
The Purchasing Cost Analyst will be responsible for providing proactive analytical support to the Purchasing department, ensuring the data is available for our internal departments to ensure a positive experience for our customer experience and construction operations.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for the maintenance and consistency of existing set-ups, master codes, and descriptions for all homeowner and trade-facing materials.
- Support the Design Studio in the identification, pricing, and sales set-up of new products, material, and processes.
- Liaise with Architecture to ensure complete and accurate data is received prior to sales launches.
- Extract and format budget reports from JDE for Vice President and Division President level approvals.
- Support Finance Post Budget Review and other direct cost requests by validating direct costs and providing variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reporting highlighting the department’s latest outlook vs pre-launch proformas and 5-year plan.
- Adhere to division-wide requirements for purchasing and production information.
- Provide administrative support to the Contracts Managers and Department VP.
- Strive for continuous improvement of both financial and operational processes within the procurement department.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Degree or Certification in Business, Information Management, Data Analytics, or similar education.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in a purchasing, estimating, or financial analysis role.
- Knowledge of overall data-management.
- Strong mathematical aptitude required.
- Self-motivated, prioritizes tasks, and works independently.
- Strong analytical ability required to accurately compare and contrast multiple data sets.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to prepare and analyze budgets and reports.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Perform data integrity and quality audits regularly.
Bonus points:
- Experience working with JD Edwards platform.
- Experience working with Power BI.
- Knowledge of retail operations.
