This role will focus on managing ponds, pipelines, and pumphouses while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and operational requirements. The Superintendent will act as a contractor owner, ensuring successful project execution while coordinating with engineering, environmental, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site-Wide Water Infrastructure Management: Oversee the construction, maintenance, and operation of water-related infrastructure, including ponds, pipelines, and pumphouses.
  • Construction RFP Development: Assist the engineering team and consultants in defining the scope of work and developing construction RFPs.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination:
  • Collaborate with mining operations to ensure seamless integration of water systems.
  • Work with the environmental team to maintain permit compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Coordinate with operations on material supply and disposal planning.
  • Ensure adherence to construction timelines and productivity plans, optimizing labor and resources.
  • Support and manage contracts with Indigenous Governments and Organizations (IGO), First Nations contractors, and Indigenous suppliers.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on water infrastructure (ponds, pipelines, pumphouses) in mining, heavy civil, or industrial settings.
  • Strong background in contractor oversight, construction scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Proven experience developing RFPs and working with engineering consultants.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams, including mining operations, environmental, and supply chain teams.
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
  • Previous experience working with First Nations contractors and Indigenous procurement policies.
  • Civil or Mechanical Engineering background preferred (degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar) is a plus.
