Job Description:


As Software developer, you will be responsible for the efficient and secure transfer of critical business data between internal and external systems using IBM Sterling File Transfer and Tibco Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions. Your role will involve implementing, configuring, and maintaining file transfer processes to ensure seamless communication and data exchange within our organization and with external partners.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implementation and Configuration: Deploy and configure File Transfer and MFT solutions based on business requirements. Customize file transfer protocols, security settings, and monitoring mechanisms to optimize performance and ensure data integrity.
  2. Integration and Automation: Integrate File Transfer and MFT solutions with existing systems and applications to streamline data exchange processes. Develop automation scripts and workflows to automate file transfer tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  3. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data during transit and storage. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data privacy and security.
  4. Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on using File Transfer and MFT solutions effectively.
  5. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor file transfer activities and system performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Investigate and troubleshoot any incidents or failures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous availability of file transfer services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing IBM Sterling File Transfer or Tibco MFT solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (e.g., FTP, SFTP, FTPS), encryption standards, and secure file transfer best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • IBM Sterling File Gateway certification or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based file transfer solutions and technologies.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS).
