They are looking for a full-time Director of Farm Operations to join their team based in Vaudreuil, Quebec. This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinating and supervising team activities.
  2. Adhering to structured processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and consistency in operations.
  3. Overseeing growing, harvesting, and crop-related operations.
  4. Developing work schedules, establishing procedures, and attending regular meetings.
  5. Maintaining quality control and production records.
  6. Ensuring workers follow health and safety procedures.
  7. Training new employees and assisting workers as needed.
  8. Overseeing produce handling to meet high-quality standards.
  9. Supporting team knowledge acquisition on best practices in record management and crop maintenance.
  10. Learning and understanding the organization’s farming technology and procedures.
  11. Addressing issues and reporting to Senior Leadership to improve processes and mitigate risks.
  12. Supporting material distribution.
  13. Performing other assigned duties.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of process-driven management experience.

Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working independently, thinking critically, and exercising delegated decision-making.

Strong problem-solving skills, innovative thinker, proactive and flexible.

Must be comfortable with learning and adapting to new technologies.

Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related field preferred.

Expertise in plant cultivation, plant nutrition, or commercial propagation an asset.

Experience with scheduling, crop maintenance, and R&D trials an asset.

Knowledge of Health Canada regulations an asset.
