CG Supervisor

Monsters Aliens Robots Zombies (MARZ) is seeking an experienced CG Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Toronto. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee the CG team throughout all phases of production, ensuring the highest quality of animation and visual effects. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating the creative vision into reality, mentoring artists, and managing the production pipeline to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the CG team through all phases of production, ensuring alignment with artistic and technical goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret the creative vision and implement it effectively.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to CG artists, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
• Ensure the integration of assets into the production pipeline, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and techniques, recommending tools and processes to enhance production quality.
• Conduct regular reviews of work-in-progress, providing constructive feedback to artists to achieve the desired quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CG Supervisor or Head of CG in a professional production environment.
• Strong background in computer graphics, with a deep understanding of CG principles and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Maya and/or Houdini; experience with Redshift and/or Arnold is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A passion for VFX and a keen eye for detail and quality.
