Main Responsibilities:

• Manage daily events and incidents related to IT infrastructure security.

• Continuously monitor IT security events, particularly alerts generated by SIEMs (e.g., intrusion detection, virus infections via antivirus tools, EDR incidents).

• Analyze events and alerts to distinguish between false positives and real incidents (e.g., assess if an IDS alert indicates a real attack attempt) and escalate as necessary using threat intelligence and contextual information.

• Clearly document investigation steps and ensure appropriate escalation when needed.

• Recommend detection mechanisms to identify exploitation or intrusion attempts.

• Execute operational processes to respond to identified security incidents.

• Develop and implement operational procedures for managing IT security incidents (e.g., handling IDS, AV alerts, conducting investigations through SIEM, etc.).

• Produce weekly and monthly dashboards to track SOC activity in terms of security and incidents (KRIs related to IDS and AV alerts, etc.).

• Manage SOC tools.

• Participate in the development, customization, and maintenance of correlation rules.

• Manage IDS, antivirus, EDR policies, and deceptive solutions.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve security processes and detections.

• Propose process automation solutions where possible.


Desired Profile:

Essential skills:

• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure security incidents and events.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and network/system exploits.

• In-depth knowledge of IT security principles, best practices, and tools commonly used to secure IT resources, as well as associated risks.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Client-focused, team-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

• Strong willingness to learn and improve.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, while adhering to security best practices and SOC processes.

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a SOC analyst.

• Knowledge of Splunk.

• Scripting/development skills (e.g., PowerShell and/or Python).


Technical Skills:

Required:

• Strong SOC experience

• Proficiency in Splunk, Microsoft TDR, Azure and Sentinel

• Understanding of network security products (SourceFire IDS/IPS, Cisco, Firewalls, proxies).

• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python)

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of SOAR and SIRP platforms.

• Experience monitoring cloud environments (Azure)


Professional Experience:

Required:

• 2 to 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure security, ideally within a SOC, with a focus on managing security incidents and SIEM platforms.


Education:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or information systems.

• Strong interest in information security or information technology.

Preferred:

• Specialization in information systems security.


Languages:

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential to collaborate with international teams and partners, particularly in the United States.

• Knowledge of French is also required.
