In this role you will join IBM Consulting via our world-class Associate Program. As an Associate at IBM Consulting, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients worldwide. Your Role and Responsibilities

As an IBM Consulting Associate, you will work with the latest technologies and collaborate with team members to create real impact for our clients and the greater world. You will have the opportunity to bring innovative ideas forward, put your transferable skills to work, and develop and learn new skills that will support your career growth.

As an Associate Application Developer, you will:

  1. Transform Client Businesses: Participate in consulting projects or initiatives and experience firsthand how we help transform our clients' businesses.
  2. Co-create Solutions: Work closely with clients to understand their industry, challenges, and goals, and develop tailored solutions to help them achieve their objectives.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement business solutions that drive business outcomes.
  4. Develop Expertise: Develop technical and business expertise in technical domains and share this with colleagues and clients.
  5. Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously learn and develop your skills and knowledge to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. A minimum of 7 years of strategic sourcing and category management experience.
  2. 4+ years sourcing Marketing categories in areas such as Creative & Advertising, Production, Digital, Media, Branding, Promotional Items, Market Research, and Events.
  3. Strong communication skills with proven ability to analyze data & present findings in a clear and cohesive manner.
  4. Candidates must be detail-oriented self-starters, with a demonstrated record of taking end-to-end ownership, solving problems, and learning from failures. Must be comfortable working independently in ambiguous situations, and managing external vendor relationships.
  5. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to client locations within North America based on business requirements.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. Previous experience in a client-facing / consultative role.
  2. Degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain Management or other applicable field.
