Cross Border Tax Senior Manager

Baker Tilly WM LLP is currently seeking a Cross Border Tax Senior Manager to join our tax practice in Toronto or Vancouver. We are looking for an individual who is committed to a career in taxation and has the desire to take a lead role in managing tax engagements and contributing both to the growth of the firm and our clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with all Tax Partners and other Senior staff on personal tax compliance and tax advisory engagements
  • Manage and coordinate tax planning and compliance services for individuals requiring US and Canadian income or estate tax filings
  • Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections and project budgets
  • Review assessments and correspond with the IRS, state authorities and CRA on various issues
  • Build and manage client relationships at a senior level; advise clients by delivering high-quality tax service and advice
  • Actively mentor and coach staff to their highest potential
  • Supporting and mentoring firm staff in respect of tax matters
  • Identifying client service opportunities
