Reporting directly into the Underwriting Director, this technical position is a key part of the K&K team.

Your Impact As An Underwriting Assistant


Job Responsibilities:


  • Service a book of business under supervision of the Underwriter and Underwriting Director
  • Log applications, process commercial insurance policies, endorsements, renewals.
  • Maintain electronic client files and abeyance files for outstanding underwriting information
  • Assist with preparation of quotes and binders
  • Assist with preparation of accounting spreadsheets, account reconciliation, bordereaux generation and broker invoicing.


Education & Experience:


  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma
  • 2 years of Commercial/Specialty Insurance experience is preferred
  • Must be technologically savvy and data-driven, including proficiency in Excel
  • CIP courses or designation an asset but not required to begin role
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses and certifications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.

This role will requires no travel.
