We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant in Endocrinology & Diabetes on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis.


The successful appointee will be joining a trust that has an ambitious and inclusive vision to improve health and well-being for our local population. The Trust was formed in 2015 by an acquisition process that brought together acute and community health and social care services into a single integrated care organisation (ICO). Our model of care aims to support people as close to their own home as possible and empower them to manage their own health and wellbeing.


The appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties within the department, including:

  1. Communication with local GPs.
  2. Participating in relevant audit and quality assurance processes.
  3. Liaising with clinicians and managers within and outside the department to address any issues arising that may affect the services.
  4. Working flexibly with colleagues to meet the needs of the service and achieve Trust and National targets.
  5. Contributing to Diabetes and Endocrinology MDTs.
  6. Participating with General Inpatient Medicine on-call rota.
  7. Providing Diabetes and Endocrinology specialist support to other inpatient medical teams.
  8. Being responsible for the Clinical Management of all patients under your care.
  9. Being proactive in ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment, and clinical decision making while ensuring our standard to deliver safe, quality care is sustained.

  • Must have GMC Registration.
  • Excellent area with unique geographical location close to Bristol and Cardiff.
  • Full-time or part-time both accepted.
