Are you looking for an exciting new role as a Procurement Advisor? In this role, you will act as a single point of contact for sites to initiate, coordinate, troubleshoot and escalate complex activities including procurement strategy, bidding, and contracting. You will also be accountable to ensure material and service availability; this will include engaging directly to ensure that kitting, staging and delivery of critical items is happening as required. You will play an integral role in the Manage Goods & Services Process, both directly and as a process champion to understand and drive best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Oil & Gas, Mining or Utilities
- Post-secondary business or supply chain degree
- Strong analytical, interpretive, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with SAP preferred
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single point of contact for Regional Mining sites (Aurora, Mildred Lake, Fort Hills, Base Mine), to resolve and coordinate the resolution of complex issues related to improving Material & Service availability, in addition to guiding sites through appropriate SCM processes
- Expectation to travel to site
- Troubleshoot complex delivery issues (e.g., late, missing, schedule changes, etc.) to ensure sites receive shipments as agreed; connect sites to material services to resolve kitting and staging issues
- Work collaboratively with Business Unit and Site leadership to resolve recurring transactional issues
- Support and communicate system/technical enhancement, changes, updates and issues/challenges as a SME and key integration point with multiple stakeholders
- Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of BU business model and SCM activities to ensure effectively communicating with various stakeholders - aligned with objectives and goals of the Business Units
- Drive operational and customer service results across sites, measured by relevant KPIs (e.g. customer satisfaction, issue resolution, etc.)
Location & other key details:
- You will work out of one of our mine sites supporting regional in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
- This is an office-based role, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work
