Job Description

Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state-of-the-art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin. The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in Ireland's leading aseptic manufacturing plant. This is an ongoing long-term project with an initial 12-month contract with a strong possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities
  1. Support a portfolio of substantial construction projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  2. Coordinate project construction activities to deliver capital projects against Safety, Quality, and Schedule commitments.
  3. Oversee and plan construction works in tandem with site contractors, construction managers, and facility stakeholders.
  4. Drive safe execution of works and ensure timely delivery of construction tasks.
  5. Ensure the delivery of projects through the Capital Project Management Process.
  6. Develop, report, and manage project construction deliverables.
  7. Participate in and run daily whiteboard sessions to plan work.
  8. Manage third-party contractors and outsourced partners to ensure optimal project delivery against safety, cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
  9. Promote a safety culture through the project team and ensure compliance with site and corporate regulatory authority guidelines.
  10. Work with construction contractors to ensure that work is planned in advance—materials available, staff on site—and ensure safe and thorough planning is carried out (review and approve RAMS, SPAs, etc.).
  11. Seek solutions to complex project phasing and execution issues collaboratively with stakeholders.
  12. Support a safe working environment by driving compliance with environmental health/safety practices, rules, and regulations.
  13. Ensure projects are delivered with superior levels of environmental control, health, and safety built in.
Requirements
  1. Technical qualification at third level or equivalent in Engineering.
  2. Experience working in a similar construction environment—large projects on Architectural & Engineering (A&E) on Biopharmaceutical site projects beneficial.
  3. Experience with sterile/biotech equipment within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  4. Knowledge of safety, GMP, and environmental regulatory requirements.
  5. Demonstrated strong communication and leadership skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  7. Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  8. Strong practical experience/hands-on experience.
  9. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  10. Strong onsite problem-solving skills.
Package

Contract role: Hourly rate €50 - €60 per hour

Initial contract duration: 12 months with a view to extend

Onsite expectations: 5 days per week & work will start at 07:30.
