Job Duties:

  • Execute precision metal fabrication tasks in accordance with provided specifications and detailed blueprints.
  • Operate and oversee the utilization of advanced brake presses and metal rolling machinery to shape and manipulate metal components.
  • Employ a comprehensive understanding of various metal forming techniques to achieve optimal results in the fabrication process.
  • Utilize MIG/TIG welding expertise as necessary to contribute to the completion of fabrication projects.
  • Apply machining skills with precision and finesse for metal cutting and finishing purposes (proficiency in machining techniques is highly desirable).
  • Exercise proficient interpretation of intricate blueprints and technical drawings to ascertain project requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize a range of precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
  • Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Plant Operations Manager or Senior Leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of fabrication experience.
  • Proven track record of successful metal fabrication experience within a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in the operation of brake presses and metal rolling machinery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a variety of metal-forming techniques.
  • Previous experience or familiarity with welding processes is advantageous.
  • Strong machining skills are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional ability to accurately interpret and comprehend detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with the use of precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.

Physical Requirements:

  • May stand for prolonged periods.
  • May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations.
  • Must have adequate sight to read blueprints, work orders, and other engineering and manufacturing documents.
  • Must pass breathing test.
  • Ability to lift light to medium weight up to 50lbs.
