Job Description

Reporting to the Car Sales Manager, the Wholesale Buyer evaluates cars available for purchase and negotiates the best pricing with suppliers.

  • Purchase/sell wholesale vehicles
  • Negotiate purchasing and selling price on all wholesale vehicles
  • Work in collaboration with Car Sales Manager to review sales requirements and determine the type of vehicles to purchase based on company needs.
  • Collaborate with Kenny U-Pull’s call center representatives for leads
  • Coordinate logistics for vehicles purchased/sold
  • Work with branch managers and sales support coordinator to monitor car sales at all Kenny U-Pull locations.
  • Analyze trends and economic conditions to forecast future car purchases and sales.
  • Establish and maintain contacts with suppliers: build your customer base/clientele to boost car sales across the company.
  • Monitor/follow up on cars purchased, identify shortcomings, and propose improvements.
  • Ensure Adherence to laws and policies regarding car buying and selling. Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Ability to work autonomously and independently.
  • Ability to negotiate pricing with vendors.
  • Ability to close sales with wholesale buyers.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge in vehicle purchasing and market trends.
  • Strong collaborator and relationship builder.
  • Good mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good sense of judgment and decision-making.
  • 80% on the road.

Qualifications

  • OMVIC Certification.
  • 2-3 years of used car sales experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a wholesale buyer.
  • Bilingual is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license.
