Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join a growing software quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing of web, desktop, mobile, and cloud-based applications to ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality software. You will be hands-on with both manual and automated testing processes, support hardware integration testing, and play a key role in developing and improving testing strategies and best practices. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a passion for quality and process optimization. NOTE - To be considered for this position the successful candidate MUST have experience with POS Systems, preferably for a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment or with self serve kiosks, menu solutions. Due to volumes, only those who meet the must haves AND have this experience concretely outlined and reflected on their up-to-date CV will be contacted for next steps.AdvantagesHybrid work model with flexibilityWork on a diverse range of platforms and technologiesCollaborate with a supportive and experienced teamOpportunities to mentor junior QA professionalsAccess to continual learning and upskillingInvolvement in meaningful projects across multiple business unitsResponsibilitiesConduct manual and automated testing across web, desktop, mobile, and cloud applicationsCreate and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation for both new and existing functionalitiesPerform various types of testing including performance, load, security, usability, and compatibility testingCollaborate with development, menu, and QA teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality softwareWrite complex SQL queries for testing and validation purposesSupport the testing of hardware devices and assist in root cause analysis of technical issuesOversee software releases, deployments, and regression testing cyclesProvide 4th-tier support for menu, software, and hardware-related issuesMentor junior team members and offer technical leadership on best practices and QA processesParticipate in daily prioritization meetings, task assignments, and peer reviewsResearch and recommend new QA tools and methodologiesEngage in continuous learning and share knowledge with the teamQualificationsUniversity or College degree in Computer Science or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of QA experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead roleStrong experience with both manual and automated testing of client/server and cloud applicationsProficient with tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, Postman, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL, and VMwareHands-on experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)Deep understanding of SDLC and STLC, including Agile and Waterfall methodologiesSkilled in writing and executing complex SQL queries and scriptsExperience with performance and security testingFamiliarity with hardware device testing and POS systems is a strong assetKnowledge of network configuration (switches, routers) and system integrationExcellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skillsAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated leadership, collaboration, and mentoring abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
