Our Kitchen Supervisors advance their culinary journey by working with some of the world's finest menu offerings and teams of dedicated and talented cooks who share a passion for the culinary arts.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full time, flexible schedule with the ability to work day and late-night shifts.
Salary: $20.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, and meal subsidy.
Food discount on shifts worked.
Anticipated start date: As soon as possible.

Kitchen Supervisor Job duties include and not limited to:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
Cut, prepare and marinate food to recipe.
Follow proper plate presentation that meets standards.
Ensure inventory of food and supplies.
Ensure cleanliness of the work environment and station.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of Cactus products and menu offerings and help determine related food and labor costs.
Train kitchen partners in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with provincial/territorial food safe procedures.
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of kitchen partners who prepare, portion and serve food.
Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
Prepare food order summaries for Chef according to requests from guests.
Establish work schedules and procedures.
Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
Supervise and check assembly of take-out orders.
Ensure that food and service meet quality control and Cactus standards.
May participate in the selection of kitchen partners and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets.

Educational Requirements
Working towards or completion of secondary school. Food Safe certificate is considered an asset.

Previous Experience
Previous employment as a cook and several years of experience in the hospitality industry is required.

Skills
Excellent communicator, self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability. Professional, principled and positive. A people developer with a knack for problem solving and quick decision making.

Language
Written and spoken English is required.
