Description The Connected Vehicle Team is revolutionizing the vehicle ownership experience through the invention of software products delivered to Uconnect customers through a variety of digital touchpoints including mobile apps, websites, and in-vehicle infotainment systems. The team is seeking candidates that will be responsible for Infotainment, Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security voice of the customer (VoC) vehicle-level validation and vehicle level DVP&R development and execution. The Performance Test Engineer will support the vehicle integration and validation process by owning the E2E validation of connected services features as well as Customer Functional Objective (CFO) testing. The Performance Test Engineer will work with Performance Platform Engineers to issue the appropriate documentation for issue resolution including supporting the team where the issue crosses multiple vehicle disciplines. The Performance Test Engineer will support the vehicle integration team through ensuring the vehicle fleet has up-to-date software and hardware and have the ability to collect necessary data from vehicles when required. They will also provide mule vehicle support and mule issue resolution support.RequirementsBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited programVehicle level validation experienceDemonstrated communication skills (written and oral)Strategic thinkerProficient with CAN tools & Radio/TBM logging toolsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to summarize and present workProven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistancePreferred Qualifications:Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited universityWorking knowledge of FMEA, design validation (DV) and process validation (PV) (DVPR), and test planningThree years of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalentDFSS Green BeltAdditional Information / Must Have's:Vehicle level validation experience - CAN Log capture experience with triage experienceAbility to read technical specifications, test plans, and be organized to provide clear resultsConnectivity, infotainment, and vehicle access feature experience
